Jazzpianist and composer Rasmus Ehlers, Was born into music, he's father Poul Ehlers (Bass) played in the 60's with a dozen of the Jazzhistorys legends like Yusef Lateef, Stuff Smith, Dexter Gordon etc. Rasmus Ehlers is also aclaimed accompanist, has performed with such hornplayers like John Roucco, Frank Tiberi and George Garzone and Danish vocalist as Sinne Eeg and Katrine Madsen.
Rasmus Ehlers has these later years concentrated on the Trio format, "Trinity" from 2009, was voted one of the 10 best international releases by Politikken, alongside Keith Jarrett and Aaron Parks. His newly released
"Blue Pearl" will sure be noticed.
As a Teacher Rasmus Ehlers has been active the last 20 years, and is highly in demand by young and aspiring musicians. Many whom is very active on the danish scene today.
Rasmus Ehlers has performed in Tokyo, Paris and New York.
